Our highly successful activity
weeks will include the following activities:
Cycling
We cycle the Via Verde, along the
paths and through the tunnels of a disused railway constructed
during the
Franco regime. The line goes from Olvera to Puerto Serrano, which is about
45 kilometres. It takes about 3 hours in total at a leisurely pace,
stopping for lunch on the way. 3 or 4 of the stations on route have
been turned into restaurants. The scenery is spectacular and the
paths are good for cycling or walking.

Walking
There are many beautiful walks around
this area, where interesting flora and fauna can be seen. Our
experienced guide can take you walking in the national parks, down
by the river, through the mountains, or along the flat planes.

Yoga
There are
many ways of dealing with discomfort and pain within us. We will
explore how the body affects the mind in the same way that the mind
affects the body, how our moods reflect our body posture and how our
body condition affects the mind.
There will be 2 yoga sessions per week.

Spanish (optional extra)
We offer Spanish lessons at
basic or intermediate level. We aim to teach you conversational
Spanish - there is no diploma at the end of the course just a better
understanding.

Paragliding (optional extra)
Tandem paragliding flights can be
arranged. The local village sits below a 3000' mountain called
Sierra de Lijar. Throughout the year, there are many hang gliding
and paragliding pilots who come to fly this mountain range. All
flights are weather dependent.

Powered sailplane flights
(optional extra)
These 30 minute flights are available
from the local airport and can take you around the lakes and over
the mountains.

Horse riding (optional extra)
You can go for a half day or full day
trek, or just enjoy an hourly ride around the lake. Most of the
riding in this area is western style.

Extra therapies
Reflexology, Reiki and massage are
all available, and you will find them all very relaxing. They will
help balance your body and promote natural healing. Sessions are
between 40 minutes to 1 hour.
